Our premiere high school treble choir known as Bellissima (Italian word meaning “very beautiful”) is comprised of freshman, sophomore, and junior sopranos and altos.  It was founded in 2003 as the department began one of its first expansions at the high school level.  There are currently 21 singers, who perform advanced SSA and SSAA choral music. They also receive instruction in music theory, music history and solo performance.

Bellissima has been invited to sing at the Colorado Music Educators’ Annual Conference on numerous occasions (2007, 2010, 2013 & 2016) and has collaborated in concert with The Columbine Chorale & The Spirituals Project.  They have performed in concerts, festivals, and clinics over the years in Honolulu, Miami, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, Boston & Washington D.C.
