The 25th annual Art Students League Summer Art Market needs volunteer help! Saturday-Sunday, June 10-11 at the Art Students League (200 Grant Street).   To sign-up, simply call or e-mail Carol Hiller Volunteer Manager with the following information and your preferences:  1) FIRST & LAST NAME;  2) ON-SITE CELL NUMBER;   3) DAY, TIME & SHIFT PREFERENCE.   FRIDAY JUNE 9 – Set-Up Only, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm; SATURDAY JUNE 10:  9:30 am – 2:00 pm and 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm, SUNDAY JUNE 11:  9:30 am – 1:30 pm and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm    4) AREA PREFERENCE (pick your top TWO choices –
Artist Relations; Food/Beverage Server; Kid’s Art Area; Set-Up (Friday 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm).  All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, food and beverages. 

 Here’s the Most Exciting Way to Kick-Off Your Summer and earn $50!  Sign-up for our week-long industry intensives in Culinary and GIS Mapping.  During this week you will learn the necessary skills to dive into a new creative industry.  In Culinary you will receive you ServSafe certificate to help you get a summer job in the restaurant world.  Arts on the Block, the annual Aurora Arts Festival at Fletcher Plaza. 9898 E. Colfax Avenue, is looking for students to show their work.   The hours are 12pm to 8pm. We also have entertainment with dancing, live music, and a fashion show. If students have bands, dance, fashion, theatrical, or other talents, we would like to include them also. Denver Botanic Gardens Summer Drawing Class for Teens, Scientific Illustration for Teens, 9 – 12 daily, July 10 – 14. 

Sharpen your pencils and sharpen your vision and learn the skills of careful observation and realistic drawing in graphite pencil.   Fee: $245 member, $295 non-member; Mon-Fri, July 10-14, 9 a.m. – noon; Instructor: Meredith Feniak

Our Best of Both Worlds summer camps in Denver are led by the color magician, Batik, Mosaic and clay master, and world traveler, Ippy Farnam!  Ippy is a local professional artist in Denver and a master teaching artist for over twenty years.  Time for Art’s Best of Both Worlds summer camp has been running in Denver for over 10 years now and is a six hour, four or five day camp that fully utilizes our local cultural centers as environments of inspiration!  While teaching young artists the art of Yoga and sketchbook technique in the mornings, we expose artists to a variety of art media to create a project in the afternoons. These camps run at the Denver Art Museum and the Denver Botanic Gardens.  http://www.ippyfarnam.com
