In addition to our quarterly shows, Visual Arts students are required to enter shows, exhibitions or contests outside of school. In this way students to learn the process of entering their work in professional venues, how to create work for a specific purpose and the importance of following directions for entry forms and deadlines. Shows are posted and announced in the VA studios. Class assignments do not count for this requirement. Students may also find opportunities at local galleries, restaurants or on line. Middle school students are required to enter two shows, exhibitons or contests per year. High School students are required to enter three per year. Students must provide teacher with documentation of shows/contests entered with a copy of the entry form, flier or invitation. These will be placed in student folders for a record of this annual requirement.
