Please excuse my late posting but you may remember a few weeks ago we asked parents to volunteer time to help fix/clean up our studio – I’m proud to announce Mission Accomplished! As you can see, everything was black and white and rather hard to look at before we stepped in, so we strapped on our sweatbands, ripped 2×4’s out of the grid, masterly labeled all our equipment, and ousted the junk! Needless to say, a huge thank you to Carrie, Bruce, Jimmy, Chip, and students Brigitte and Jimmy for taking time out of their weekend to help us out.
Because of your help, we were able to shoot a student film in the studio which will be premiering at our Not So Silent Night event on October 15th. Be sure to add it to your calendar as it’s bound to be one of the greatest events VCA/Orchestra departments have put on to date! Silent films + Live orchestra = Sensory Delight! I’ll have a separate post with more behind the scenes coming soon.
Next mission, building a sound booth a.k.a. Project Sound Off!
