Not So Silent Night

In the event you’ve been living under a rock, the Cinema department has been working diligently with the Orchestra department to create a night of amusement, drama, and terror to kick off the Halloween season! What does that mean? Well, On October 15th, you’ll have two chances to enjoy student made silent films nurtured with a deft touch of live orchestra! That’s right, live orchestra.

Come through this Wednesday at 5pm or 7pm to share the experience and support the Denver School of the Arts community. We are anticipating a large crowd and tickets will sell out. If you wish to avoid disappointment, you may buy your tickets in advance.

And for all you wonderful Cinema majors who occasionally read this blog, remember this event is required to attend. 🙂

Let’s Clean House, eh?

This coming Saturday, September 13th, from 10am-2pm, we’re asking parents to volunteer time to help organize the VCA Studio!  In the coming weeks, we plan to build a sound booth for students to record voice-overs, music, and foley, but first we need to make space!

Some parents have signed up already, but we could use more hands! If you or someone you know would like to volunteer, please send an email to dsavca@gmail.com with the subject Studio Volunteer.  Or feel free to show up to the cinema department on Saturday at 10am.
