1. The movie opens with one of the earliest fights against the virus Ebola. From what you know about Ebola and how contagious it is, why the difference between the two outbreaks that has made such a difference in their outcomes
2. As you watch the movie noticed the culture and attitudes towards the gay community. How have they changed over the years and how do you think these attitudes towards the gay population affected the spread of the virus and or affected the identification of the virus.
3. What was the stigma placed on people who are HIV-positive? How did having that stigma change their rights or ability to assimilate and how did it affect the study of the virus and people infected with it?
4. What do you think motivated the blood industry to not want to check for donors with the disease? How might a different attitude have changed the outcome?

They need to be in multiple-choice format and need to have the correct answer displayed on the question itself.
They can work in groups of two or three and can submit one written page per group as long as all the groups names are on the paper. These need to be multiple-choice that are not too easy and make the students think about the answer. At the end of the. They can hand them all in to you.
Students can use the chrome books as a resource if needed and can email them to me if they want.

Honors and Non-Honors Paper Biology Due on Sunday Feb. 24th midnight Your research paper should be a minimum of 5-6 pages, or 2- 3 pages for non honors (double spaced, 12 point font, Times New Roman font). The paper needs no fewer than three outside, scholarly sources (3-5 sources). Wikipedia is not a scholarly source! Be careful using sources that end in .com. Be sure it is a reliable source (check with me if you are unsure).
Outside of the 5-6 page paper, or 2-3 page non-honors paper please include a Works Cited sheet, and a 1 page cover sheet that has your name and period on it– no need to put your name on the rest of the pages. The paper must utilize scientific vocabulary and demonstrate an understanding of the effect that the invasive species has had on the ecosystem. Plagiarism in any form will result in a depletion of points, based on the degree of plagiarism. The paper should not have lengthy quotes, or numerous quotes. I am looking for your synthesis of ideas and the research you do. Graphics and pictures can be included outside the 5-6 page paper. Do not use the word I, or we. The paper should be written in third person. . Your audience is a person with a scientific background. Be sure to not write about something you can’t explain yourself to me.
