¡Hola! I’m Señora Albright. I’ve taught Spanish (elementary, middle, and high school) since 2006, and this is my second year at DSA and I’m so excited to be here. I graduated from California State University Northridgewebsite_photo with my BA in Spanish in 2005 and spent a year abroad in Madrid in 2003-04. After teaching middle school Spanish in Beverly Hills for four years, I got my Master’s in Education from Concordia University Irvine, and then moved to Colorado to earn my Master’s in Linguistics from CU Boulder. After that, I lived in England for three years, where I worked on my PhD in Linguistics from the University of York. But I missed teaching, and moved back to Colorado in 2015 to teach at McAuliffe Middle School, and then DSA in 2016.

I love learning languages, and I have a special place in my heart for Spanish – so many of the friends I grew up with were Spanish speakers. I also love to paint (I have a pet portrait painting business), swing dance, travel, cook, read, spend time in the mountains, and play with my lazy greyhound, Walker.
