Eric Mills is an award-winning, internationally-experienced teacher and researcher. He works to change the world by teaching students to view it with a more critical eye. His courses focus on close reading, race, gender, and popular culture. This is his 5th year at DSA, 7th year in DPS, 11th year as a teacher, and 14th year advocating for public education. In addition to teaching at DSA, Mills often teaches college courses, and he sits on the board of directors for City Park Jazz where he advocates for student performers. He doesn’t often like to write about himself in the third-person.
