Recruitment Efforts for Stagecraft & Design

Student leaders from our Creative Careers Student Organization presented in 8th grade classes at seven nearby DPS Middle Schools and ran a table at the DPS 8th grade career fair (photo on the right). Please get the word out to friends and neighbors who might have students that would be interested in the Stagecraft & Design program for next year. The application timeline has changed this year, so applications are not due until January 4, 2019.

We are hosting Open Houses for prospective applicants on Dec. 13 and 18 from 3:30-5:30. This is a great time for students interested in the program to get a tour and ask questions about the program.

DSA held five preview mornings in early December for prospective families.  Thank you to Julie Gelman and Andy Blackmun for giving tours to students and parents.

Lollipops

The stagecraft seniors are all selling lollipops as part of a fundraiser for their senior project. Lollipops are each $1 so feel free to ask for one anytime.

Second Semester Fieldtrips

We are working on the arrangements for three different field trips we will be taking during second semester.  We will communicate details as we have them finalized.  Our first trip will be to see the Dior: From Paris to the World exhibition at the Denver Art Museum in late January.

National Thespian Conference

The National Thespian Conference runs June 24-30, 2019
