Students have been working hard on preparing for the next round of productions at DSA. The shows above will demonstrate many advanced designs by our juniors and seniors as well as well as the first run crew opportunities for many of the freshman. Senior Fundraiser – Haunted House

The seniors completed a very successful Haunted House fundraiser for their senior project. The theme was based on the American Horror Story with each room representing a different season.

Recruitment Efforts for Stagecraft & Design

Over the next four weeks, student leaders from our Creative Careers Student Organization will be presenting in 8th grade classes at seven nearby DPS Middle Schools. Students will also be running a table at the DPS 8th grade career fair on November 6 at the National Western Stockshow. Please get the word out to friends and neighbors who might have students that would be interested in the Stagecraft & Design program for next year. The application timeline has changed this year, so applications are not due until January 4, 2019.

Fill The Gap Fundraising Campaign

In Stagecraft and Design, we are very dependent on the funding that is given through the Fill the Gap campaign for our guest artists and the upkeep of our equipment in the performance spaces. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the fundraising campaign. Right now we only have a 30% participation rate for our program, so we would be very appreciative if more families could support us through contributing. King Soopers Cards

Great job to those of you using your King Soopers gift cards! We have made our goal of $5,000 or more in total sales for three months in a row! That means we have been getting checks from King Soopers for $250 or more each month, which is an incredible support for our department. Please keep using them, and if you need more for family members or others who want to help our department, please contact Jonathan Howard at jonathan_howard@dpsk12.org.

All School Musical Concessions

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed food and/or worked the concession table for the All School Musical.  We made over $3200 over the seven performances.
