Auditions for the guitar major program at Denver School of the Arts will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the DSA guitar room.
The mandatory pre-audition informational meeting is Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 6:00pm in the DSA library.

Guitar Auditions
1.  During the auditions students will perform one piece of prepared music and sight-read one piece of music
2.  Students will play a variety of jazz chords (see audition preparation page)
3.  Students will play scales related to jazz chords
4.  Students will complete a brief music reading test
5.  Students will submit a short paragraph explaining why they would like to major in guitar at DSA
Students must be able to read music in order to be considered for the guitar major program at Denver School of the Arts.
